Analytical Methods welcomes early applications of new analytical and bioanalytical methods and technology demonstrating the potential for societal impact. We require that methods and technology reported in the journal are sufficiently innovative, robust, accurate, and compared to other available methods for the intended application. Developments with interdisciplinary approaches are particularly welcome. Systems should be proven with suitably complex and analytically challenging samples. We encourage developments within, but not limited to, the following technologies and applications: global health, point-of-care and molecular diagnostics; biosensors and bioengineering; drug development and pharmaceutical analysis; applied microfluidics and nanotechnology; -omics studies, such as proteomics, metabolomics or glycomics; environmental, agricultural and food science; neuroscience; biochemical and clinical analysis; forensic analysis; industrial process and method development.

CrystEngComm is the forum for the design and understanding of crystalline materials. It publishes studies on the investigation of molecular behaviour within crystals, control of nucleation and crystal growth, engineering of crystal structures, and construction of crystalline materials with tuneable properties and functions. All papers should involve the use or development of a design or optimisation strategy.

Faraday Discussions covers a variety of topics in rapidly developing areas of the physical sciences, with a focus on physical chemistry and its interfaces with other scientific disciplines. The journal publishes the papers presented and a record of the questions, discussion and debate that took place at the corresponding Faraday Discussions meeting; and provides an important record of current international knowledge and opinions in the relevant field. Each Faraday Discussion covers a topic in a rapidly developing area of chemistry, and will be of interest to academic and industrial chemists across all areas of the chemical sciences. Green Chemistry provides a unique forum for the publication of innovative research on the development of alternative green and sustainable technologies. Based on the, but not limited to, the twelve principles of green chemistry defined by Anastas and Warner (Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice, P T Anastas and J C Warner, Oxford University Press, Oxford, 1998). Green chemistry is, by definition, a continuously-evolving frontier. Therefore, the inclusion of a particular material or technology does not, of itself, guarantee that a paper is suitable for the journal. To be suitable, the novel advance should have the potential for reduced environmental impact relative to the state of the art. Green Chemistry does not normally deal with research associated with 'end-of-pipe' or remediation issues.

Industrial Chemistry & Materials (ICM) publishes significant innovative research and major technological breakthroughs in all aspects of industrial chemistry and materials.

Materials Advances is an international, gold open access journal, publishing high-quality research across the breadth of materials science. The journal accepts experimental or theoretical studies that report new understanding, applications, properties and synthesis of materials, building on and complementing the materials content already published across the Royal Society of Chemistry journal portfolio. Molecular engineering employs experimental, theoretical and computational approaches to establish new understanding of molecular properties and behaviours and uses this understanding to design and assemble better materials, systems, and processes to achieve specific functions. MSDE provides a hub for research into new understanding of molecular systems and the use of this understanding in applications of technological significance that help address global challenges.

NJC (New Journal of Chemistry) is a broad-based primary journal encompassing all branches of chemistry and its sub-disciplines. It publishes high-quality work that opens new directions in chemistry or in other scientific disciplines. Research must demonstrate that it will have an impact on areas of research other than that of the reported work.

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (PCCP) is an international journal co-owned by 19 physical chemistry and physics societies from around the world. This journal publishes original, cutting-edge research in physical chemistry, chemical physics and biophysical chemistry. To be suitable for publication in PCCP, articles must include significant innovation and/or insight into physical chemistry; this is the most important criterion that reviewers and Editors will judge against when evaluating submissions. The journal has a broad scope and welcomes contributions spanning experiment, theory, computation and data science. Articles are welcomed if they demonstrate significant innovation and/or insight into physical chemistry. Reaction Chemistry & Engineering is an interdisciplinary journal reporting cutting-edge research focused on enhancing the understanding and efficiency of reactions. Reaction Chemistry & Engineering is a unique forum for researchers whose interests span the broad areas of chemical engineering and chemical sciences to come together in solving problems of importance to wider society. Papers that consider multiple scales, from the laboratory up to and including plant scale, are particularly encouraged.

Sustainable Food Technology is a gold open access journal focused on cutting-edge strategies for food production, that aim to provide quality and safe foods in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way. We welcome novel green strategies applied to both crops and animal foods from every step of the food chain, “from farm to fork”: farming, harvesting, processing, packaging, storage, distribution and control. Circular bioeconomy strategies are particularly welcomed, from those adding value to food by-products to those focused on the appropriate reuse of food waste.
